Pretty Serious is a small brand from Australia that makes vegan polishes and cosmetics. I have a few of their polishes but this is the first one I’ve photographed.
Seasonal Sunset is a dark burnt orange jelly base that leans a little brown, with tons of gold and orange glitter in it. My kind of colour!
Two coats used, and the formula was great.
I love it!! And it’s quite unique; I don’t think I have anything else like it!
Three Picture Polish posts in a row? Why not! And this one is my favourite polish of the three. 😀
Lagoon is a turquoise jelly polish with scattered holo particles and medium sized turquoise holo hex glitter. Shown above with flash, and in natural light for most of the other photos.
Two coats and no complaints about the formula! It was slightly thick but easily spreadable and self-leveling.
Love, love, love. This one will definitely make my list of favourite polishes released this year!

My Halloween mani from yesterday had gotten a few chips by the end of the day, so I decided to redo those nails while leaving the others as they were.
I used Zoya Beatrix, Zoya’s lighter orange texture shade (two coats for this one, as opposed to the one coat for Dhara), and then a layer of the black and white glitter franken that I already had over Zoya Dhara. Followed by topcoat of course, to smooth out all that texture and glitter.
Love these two orange Zoyas together!

Here’s my Halloween mani, featuring Zoya Dhara, my black and white glitter franken, and black cats! (In that first picture the bottle I’m holding is Beatrix, not Dhara, because I grabbed the wrong one!)
Here are some photos of Dhara before the additions. Zoya Dhara is a deep orange texture polish with gold glitter, from the fall 2013 Pixie Dust collection.
This is just one coat! I’m really glad I got this polish, it’s awesome!

As mentioned, the black and white glitter I added to most of the nails is my own frankenpolish. On the ring finger, I first used a layer of topcoat to smooth out the texture, and then stamped a black cat using Kleancolor Black and stamping plate HB49, which is made by HB Nails and has a bunch of cat designs. I ordered the plate from Amazon UK, not sure if it’s still available there.
Finally, a blurry shot to show all the sparkle that topcoat brings out in Dhara!

Milani Golden Lilac (the one with gold shimmer) and Kleancolor Gorgeous Surprise (the one with blue shimmer). I don’t remember what the base colour was that they’re layered over, unfortunately.
Breaking the silence with a texture polish! This is Nicole by OPI Cinna-man of My Dreams (what’s with all the stupid “man of my dreams” names? They already had “snow-man of my dreams” in one of the winter collections, sheesh! heheh). Anyway, this is a great polish!
It’s a sparkly multicoloured texture, with predominantly brick red and burgundy tones and little sparks that appear orange and blue in the light. Very complex and deep polish!
Shown are two coats; it has a great formula. As usual any of the photos can be clicked on to see the full size versions that show the sparkly detail of the texture!
Here it is with topcoat. I added a third coat before the topcoat because I had a bit of tip wear from already having the polish on for a while.
I did an accent thumb nail in Nicole by OPI Just Busta Mauve since they seem like such complementary polishes!
With topcoat over Cinna-man:
Busta Mauve is kind of like the foily fleck version of Cinna-man, but it does have a lot more blue and purple in it. That, and the fact that the texture “ate” my first coat of topcoat pretty well, inspired me to add OPI I Juggle Men overtop.
Love this combo!!
My apologies for the lack of posts! Things have just been super busy lately! So I thought I’d post another group of photos from several years ago that I just never got around to posting and don’t necessarily have the info on number of coats, formula etc. anymore.
OPI Fiercely Fiona with Nicole by OPI Brilliant Idea on the accent finger.
A frankenpolish that I call Firecracker. The ingredients for this are Martha Stewart glitter in fire opal (which does bleed colour into the base, but not too much) and some of the LA Girl Glitter Addict polishes in orange, fuchsia, and red.
OPI Absolutely Alice with half moons in Nubar Night Sparkle.
OPI and Apple Pie, a classic “ugly” shade, under the Ott Lite.
I’ve got a great indie polish to show you today! This is Ninja Polish Pacific Coral, a coral creme with a beautiful duochrome shimmer in it.
The shimmer flashes from gold to green depending on the angle, and is very visible!
Two coats of Pacific Coral plus topcoat. The formula was perfect!
On my ring finger I have two coats of LA Splash Star Coral on top of Pacific Coral.
Star Coral is a sheer coral jelly polish with gold and multicoloured glitter.
Love this coral combo!
More texture! This is a mani I did a few weeks ago featuring four textured polishes. Actually, one of them is not really a textured polish, it’s a glitter striping polish, but it doubles as texture really well!
The polishes are Nicole by OPI Lemon Lolly (yellow jelly based texture), Zoya Solange (yellow-gold texture), LA Colors Art Deco striper in 24K Glitter (medium gold complex-looking glitter), LA Girl Sands of Time (white gold texture with some medium hexes). Love this! Photos in overcast light.

Today I have That’s What I Mint to show you, one of the texture polishes from Nicole by OPI.
Under my Ott light:
It’s not actually mint at all, it’s a deep teal with lots of sparkle, including gold glitter. Shown are two coats, and I had no issues with application.
Natural light:
Teal textured glitter with a hint of gold, it should be no big surprise that I just love this polish!
Here it is with topcoat in the last two photos. It needs two layers of top coat to smooth it completely; I applied one layer and then later on, after it was fully dry and the polish had “eaten” the top coat a bit, added the second layer. The photos were taken after applying the first layer of top coat.
