I’ve got some more nails inspired by my cat Jasmine to show you today! Her full name is actually Jasmine Blossom so I wanted to use these two polishes together for some nail art. First some swatches of the polishes used. Both are older, discontinued Zoya shades.
Zoya Jasmine, three coats plus top coat. The third wasn’t strictly necessary but did deepen the colour slightly. Shown here in overcast natural light.
Jasmine is a shimmery metallic berry red-pink. Under Ott lite:
Zoya Blossom, a slightly peachy off-white with fine pink shimmer. I’m not sure if this was three or four coats; I apparently forgot to write it down! I did write down that the formula was a little thin (which makes me think it’s probably four coats) but surprisingly un-streaky for a white! Under Ott lite:
Under halogen light:
I then stamped over Blossom using Jasmine, with an image of jasmine blossoms (? that’s what I decided these flowering branches were, anyway! haha) from plate Hehe-023. Photos of the stamping are all with flash.
I loved this combo!!
And now some photos of my semi-feral Jasmine: a collage with her sitting in a box and with her brother Thor, with whom she’s very close (and Julius lolling about in the background of one!) , and then one of her on the bed (she was actually leaned up against my leg when I woke up from a nap!)
This magenta glittery textured polish is Kiko 454 from the Sugar Mat line. Two easy coats. With flash:
Under Ott lite:
In the setting sun (a bit too warm-toned):
The second day, I decided to add some very simple nail art by blocking off my nails diagonally with tape and adding one coat of P2 Lovesome. The base colour of Lovesome is a lighter pink-red than 454 so it doesn’t really show, but the gold glitter in Lovesome sure stands out! All photos of the combo with flash.
Time for a quick post! LA Girl Sparkle Ruby is a deep berry red jelly-based scattered holo. I used two coats, and the formula was great!
I still have some really old photos from when I started blogging, so I thought I would post them in a few installments!
This first one is a fall mani that I really loved! Thumb to pinkie: Finger Paints Sketchy Character, a mustard yellow frankenpolish, Kleancolor Fashionista, China Glaze Brownstone, Joe Fresh Pumpkin. The glitter gradient over everything was done with Nubar Lime Green Glitter and Orange Glitter.
Next, Orly Wild Wisteria with China Glaze Brownstone accent:
I’ll finish up this first vault post with swatches of the creme half of the Color Club Back to Boho collection, along with a couple of layering combos using them.
With Color Club Jingle Jangle overtop:
Color Club Earthy Angel:
Color Club New Bohemian:
Color Club Nomadic in Nude:
Color Club Rad Nomad:
Color Club Red-ical Gypsy – gotta say, the stereotypical gypsy-themed polish names just make me think of cultural appropriation… This is a nice red though, and look! An appearance from my little Thor!
With an accent of Cult Nails Hypnotize Me and Nubar V matte top coat:
A quick post today! This is Beauty Without Cruelty Deepest Mulberry, a dark mulberry purple/plum creme.
The swatch is two coats. The formula was a little thin and I probably should have done three coats; there’s a bit of a bald spot on my ring finger in particular.
Nothing too exciting, but a nice basic shade!
