I recently got an invitation from Nail Polish Canada to participate in a holiday nail art challenge contest they’re holding. This is week one of three, and the theme for the week is snow! Something I’m glad to say we haven’t really had much of here yet – it was snowing off and on today actually, for the first time of the season, but it didn’t accumulate at all. π
Here is my snow mani – the base is two coats of Orly Au Champagne, with a gradient of Zoya Twila overtop.
The snowflakes are loose white bar glitter and hex glitter that I fixed into place with a thick layer of Poshe topcoat over everything.
The little silver, blue and holographic bar glitters in Twila make for an interesting textured night sky backdrop for the snowflakes, in my humble opinion π
Be sure to check out all the other entries of the week here and vote for your favourite! π

This is really lovely! You have given me a whole new appreciate of that blue bar Zoya glitter – I have to pull mine out and use it – I was not that excited about it when I got it last yr…but I love how it looks here and must try using it on some gradient sponging.
I know what you mean, I actually took it out of my ‘purge’ box to do this mani – I think I’ll keep it after all! π
Oh – forgot to add – the base shade you use and also used for your white stamping – Orly Au Champagne I just adore. I do not have anything else that is even close to that one..I fell hard for it last Dec when I first ran into it – but I think it was a re-promote release at that time…It’s rare to find a white that is still white, not blue, not gray, not optic white but soft like this one is. It’s creamy but not into the nude and it never looks chalky…it’s a warm white. I use it a lot myself. I have not seen it since last winter and have looked…it might be on some of the e-tailer sites but I know it’s not on the wall at Sally’s or the few other places that sell Orly products.
I love it too! Such a great polish, its finish is just gorgeous π
This is such a cute mani! Makes me all Christmas-y inside. Thanks for sharing your art! Made me smile π
PS: and of course I voted for you!
Aw, thanks Derya! π
