Oh no worries, that’s very helpful and I was only expecting an answer for the brands made specifically for Sally’s. Aside from Sally Girl, what other nail polish brands would these be? I think I remember hearing Finger Paints is one that is manufactured for Sally? Are there any others?

Thanks very much!

Joanne

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us. Sally Girl does not test on animals. We recommend that you go to our website www.sallybeauty.com and look up the brand of polish that you are interested in. The list of ingredients is located there. We are a distributor, and we do not manufacturer a lot of the nail polishes we carry. We do know that the brands that are made especially for us are cruelty free and do not have animal ingredients. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Sincerely,

Sally Beauty Supply LLC

Hello!

I have a couple of questions about your Sally girl brand nail polishes. I was wondering if you could tell me whether there is any animal testing in the production of your nail polishes, either by conducting or commissioning animal testing, or buying ingredients from companies that do such things?

Also, wondering if there are any animal ingredients in any of the nail polishes/treatments (such as guanine (CI 75150, 75170), pearl, silk, keratin, carmine (CI 75470), etc)? If so, would you be able to tell me which products? Do you have ingredients lists available?

Thanks very much!
Joanne

  1. Thank you very much for this information 😉
I put your link as the source on the page ‘cruelty free’ of my blog: http://polishmepink.blogspot.com/p/cruelty-free.html

  2. […] A good friend of mine asked me earlier this week if nail polish was vegan. I assume things are not vegan until proven otherwise so I went directly to the Internet. I was right in this case. Fish (scales for sparkles) and pearl is often in nail polish, but no worries, there are brands out there for those of us that need cruelty-free products. Vegan Claws is officially my go-to resource for vegan nails. Check it out. https://veganclaws.com/vegan-nail-polish-resource/ […]
