Hi Joanne,
Unfortunately, specifics about ingredients are proprietary information to our manufactures. They do not and will not share that information with us.

Hi Samantha,
I’m a little late in replying but wanted to say thank you for this info. I never would have guessed it was those shades since I tend to associate guanine with “pearly” shades rather than glitter!
I have another question for you, I’ve recently learned that there is such thing as synthetic guanine, that some companies use in their nail polish. Could you tell me whether yours is natural or synthetic?
Thanks very much!
Joanne

Hi Joanne,
Thank you for your inquiry. Our Jewel FX and One Coat Glitter Specialty Nail Lacquers do contain Guanine. And, no, our manufactures do not test on animals.

S1=Hi, I have 2 questions about your nail polishes. First, do you have a list of which Milani polishes contain guanine (CI 75170)? I see it in a “may contain” list on the ingredients list of some bottles. I’d like to know which ones actually contain it so I can avoid those (I’m vegan, I don’t use anything from animals and guanine is from fish scales). I was also wondering if you could tell me whether there is any animal testing in the production of your nail polishes, either by conducting or commissioning animal testing, or buying ingredients from companies that do such things? Thanks very much for your response!

Do you know where to get vegan nail polish filled in bottles by manufacturers? Is there a company that comes to mind that can do the packaging if we supply the bottles and lids?
I don’t know, sorry!
So all of the Jordana nail polishes except the two she mentioned, the glittery ones, are vegan and not tested on animals?? Thats great to know, I actually really like Jordana.
I *think* so! I didn’t specifically ask about Jordana but from her response it sounds like it’s safe to assume that it’s just the Specialty Glitters that are questionable. I should write back just to double-check.
