Update for Case #163 – “product question”

HI Joanne,

Thank you for your email. All of our products are free of animal ingredients, with the exception of Cuticle Remover, which contains Lanolin derived from wool. The Guanine is synthetic.

None of our products or ingredients are tested on animals.

Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.

Regards,

Mark

Subject: product question

Hello!

I was wondering if you could tell me whether there is any animal testing in the production of your nail polishes, either by conducting or commissioning animal testing, or buying ingredients from companies that do such things?

Also, wondering if there are any animal ingredients in any of the nail polishes/treatments (such as guanine (CI 75150, 75170), pearl, silk, keratin, carmine (CI 75470), etc)? If so, would you be able to tell me which products? From what I have heard, there is guanine in some of the polishes but it is the kind that is synthesized from non-animal sources, is this correct?

Thanks very much!
Joanne
