Time for a quick post! LA Girl Sparkle Ruby is a deep berry red jelly-based scattered holo. I used two coats, and the formula was great!

I thought these two scattered holos went together very well; the purple is Zoya Aurora and the fuchsia is Orly Miss Conduct. These photos are from last fall and I’m not positive how many coats of polish I used – I think it was two for Aurora, and one for Miss Conduct. Both have excellent formulas!
Three Picture Polish posts in a row? Why not! And this one is my favourite polish of the three.
Lagoon is a turquoise jelly polish with scattered holo particles and medium sized turquoise holo hex glitter. Shown above with flash, and in natural light for most of the other photos.
Two coats and no complaints about the formula! It was slightly thick but easily spreadable and self-leveling.
Love, love, love. This one will definitely make my list of favourite polishes released this year!
Another photo with flash:
Today’s Picture Polish beauty is Electric Dream!
Electric Dream is a coral-leaning pink with fine gold shimmer and scattered holo particles.
Shown are two coats. The formula was thicker than Shy Violet’s but in a good way; it was quite easy to handle.
I love the gold shimmer, it just makes this polish extra special!
This polish is a collaboration with Nail Polish Anon blog. Love it!
Picture Polish Shy Violet is a warm, medium purple jelly with sparse scattered holo particles. It’s a fairly sheer jelly, and here it is first at two coats.
Since that was a little patchy, I added a third coat. Even with three coats, it dried very quickly!
This is part of Picture Polish’s blogger collaboration series, this one was created with Glam Polish blog. Great polish shade!
I have an indie polish to show you today, from the brand Maya Cosmetics which I was excited to learn states on their website that their polishes are vegan friendly!
This is Nefarious Aquarius, a teal/turquoise holo polish! Photo above is with flash, and the following ones are under Ott Lite.
Two coats, no complaints about the formula! It’s all around just a great polish!
And finally, not the greatest photo, but here is how it looked outdoors in the sunlight:
More random old stuff!
Nubar Pink Flame, under artificial light:
Comparison: left to right, Finger Paints Catwalk Queen, Butter London Bumster (middle and ring fingers), Misa Hot Couture. The Butter London and Finger Paints polishes are quite close, Finger Paints just has slightly more orange, while the Misa is noticeably darker.
Butter London Bumster by itself:
OPI Pepe’s Purple Passion (in light box and camera wouldn’t focus properly on the polish surface!):
I’ll admit, while I ended up really liking Pepe’s Purple Passion, I mainly wanted it for the name, because of this handsome guy whose name is Pepe. Although we usually call him Tex.
Essence Wanna Be My Sunshine with accent nail in NYX Girls Pure Green, all layered with LA Girl Zesty Citrus overtop:
More old pics that I haven’t posted before… I think all of these photos are under the Ott Lite except for the last one.
Glitter gradient of OPI DS Temptation with Nubar Sky Sparkle.
With Ozotic 505 overtop:
OPI DS Desire, my favourite OPI DS shade.
Sephora by OPI Rumba Romance with half moons in Orly Chocolate Martini.
Milani Golden Lilac (the one with gold shimmer) and Kleancolor Gorgeous Surprise (the one with blue shimmer). I don’t remember what the base colour was that they’re layered over, unfortunately.
I recently got the opportunity to review one of Glitter Gal’s newer holos, Transfusion! Transfusion is a deep red-violet shade and is really gorgeous!
Its colour is somewhere in between burgundy and purple. I used two coats and no top coat for these photos.
The formula is great; no issues at all!
Lovely, and unique holo shade!
Here is a comparison to some other burgundy and purple holos I have.
Here we have Picture Polish Monroe (original version – the new version has much larger holo particles and is closer to LA Girl Sparkle Ruby from what I’ve seen in photos), Ozotic 513, Glitter Gal Transfusion, Zoya Aurora, LA Girl Sparkle Ruby. Two coats of each (although Sparkle Ruby could be a one-coater).
The comparison under the Ott Lite:
As you can see, these are all great polishes but none of the others are similar to Transfusion! I love Transfusion, and its sister polish, a warm brick-red holo shade named Hot Chili, is going on my wish list!
Disclosure: Glitter Gal Transfusion was provided to me by the company for review purposes. The opinions stated are my own honest opinions.
